Indian literature widens its horizon in various fields and spheres. Bengali
literature, it is needless to say, has enriched Indian literature immensely
and profitably. Since the golden period of Bankim Chandra and Rabindranath
Tagore it has a glorious legacy down the ages. Bengali little magazine is
the heart and soul of Bengali literature. Balaka is a specimen of one such
remarkable and representative magazine where serious and sustained research
is being done on Bengali language and literature, - a magazine that has
stamped its identity and originality in its own special way. |

Nineteenth century is the re-awakening, otherwise known as the Renaissance,
of Bengali literature. It also witnesses the wide-spread history of printing
composition. Bengali literature is, no doubt, the asset of Indian
literature. In our forthcoming issue the renowned researchers and writers
will cover up 20-25 books for evaluation. And together with that there will
be recorded the evolution of printing world from Kerry Sahib down to modern
times. The articles will also include valued opinions about Bengali Primer
and other manuals. |
