Recently Dhananjay was invited by the Dr. Blanka Knotkova Capkova, Chair of Gender
Studies Department of Charles University, Prague, Czech Republic for delivering lecture
on "Folk God and Goddess of Bengal". In his lecture he also added the folk beliefs and
folk rituals of Bengal. Dhananjay highlighted folk literature which based on folk beliefs and

Dr. Blank Knotkova is very popular and famous in this university and her
hospitality was remarkably well. It can be mentioned here that the total environment of the
Gender Studies Department impressed Dhananjay in a large extent. Obviously Dr. Knotkova
is responsible for such creation of environment and her students are really serious to maintain it.
Incidentally a collection of poems transcreated in English by Amit Chakrabarty from Bengali
written by Dhananjay Ghosal titled "Love The Never Ending Runway" was published at
Gender Studies Department, Prague through a poetry reading session. |

Dhananjay was invited by Martin Hribek (Lecturer, Seminar of Indology, Institute of South and Central Asia, Faculty of Philosophy of Charles University for taking two classes for them. It was really
enjoying. We want to mention here that many Czech students are learning Bengali and
they are interested to know Bengali literature. So, they accept Dhananjay greatly as a
young writer and editor of Balaka. Dr. Knotkova and Mr. Hribek both personalities are very
much efficient to speak Bengali. Beginners of Bengali classes are preparing themselves
accurately to speak in Bengali. Mr. Hribek not only lecturer of this university he is an essayist
and he is associated with editorial board of the journal Pandanus published from Charles
University. Apart from class Dhananjay spent a lot of time with Mr. Hribek for mutual exchange
of literature and that was really enjoying. |
